The History Behind The Section
The Pope Trumpet Section was born in the fall of 1987. Pope High School was a brand new school with many new and exciting events in front of it. The band was under direction of Mr. Gary Gribble. Mr. Gribble is still directing the bands at Pope. Pope has had few assistant directors come and go but currently Ms. Cynthia Sallas is the assistant director of bands. Here is a list of Pope's past marching shows:

The Current Section
The Pope Trumpets have beginning their 2004 marching season. There will be 18 marching trumpets, one trumpet color guard captain, and 3 trumpet Drum Majors, and 1 trumpet/ mello player. There are 4 incoming rookies/freshmen coming in this season.
